My name is Chuck Anderson, and I work as a Mental Health Counselor Intern at Kalon Counseling in Tallahassee, Florida. I help individuals work through anxiety and depression and help couples move through the places they get stuck, using CBT, DBT, personal story exploration, and emotion‑focused therapy. I hope to bring curiousity and kindness into everything I do.
In my day‑to‑day work, I help people make sense of their experiences by listening closely, sitting with them in what they’re carrying, and helping them find steadier ways of living. I care about clarity and steadiness and try to create an environment where people feel grounded, understood, and unhurried.
My approach blends evidence-based behavioral therapy with steady, conversational engagement with story. I try to keep my work grounded in truth explored with curiousity. I prefer an unhurried pace, and I aim for people feeling more grounded than when they arrived.
I’m drawn to this work because I have been helped in this way, and I want to offer others the same kind of clarity and care I received. I believe God meets people right where they are and healing grows through honest, patient presence. I try to reflect these values in how I show up professionally.
When I’m not working, I spend time reading, tinkering with computers, walking, and spending time with my family. These things help me stay persoanlly grounded and keep me connected to what matters most to me.
